Denise Kane
Denise is the founder of Sunshine Coast Therapy & Assessment Services. She is a highly skilled Psychologist with over 20 years experience on the Sunshine Coast providing therapy and assessment services to children, teens, and their parents, carers and families. She has expertise in providing a range of therapeutic approaches and assessments. The focus of all services is to provide evidence based and person centred support in partnership with children, families and agencies to find solutions and to improve quality of life.
Denise has expertise in the provision of functional assessments and behaviour support, cognitive and learning assessments, and other assessment of neurodiversity including ASD and ADHD and exceptional abilities. Denise also provides psychology to children under 12 years, as well parenting and carer supports.
Denise is qualified to administer cognitive, learning and other standardised assessments. She is trained in a range of child and family therapy and group work programs including Circle of Security (COS), Triple P, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy including the Cool Kids anxiety programme and trauma informed therapies including Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP). She is a Board Approved Supervisor (STAP).
Qualifications
Degree in Psychology - Honours (School of Behavioural Sciences) – Macquarie University (1996). Brief Therapy Institute of Sydney – Registration Program. Full registration as a Psychologist (APHRA) and Member Australian Psychological Society (MAPS).
